About

Harrison Steele is a Wichita, Kansas–based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist crafting what he calls Midwest surf-folk; a blend of acoustic storytelling, mellow groove, and soul-rooted vocals that feels both grounded and transportive.

His music lives somewhere between the wide-open plains he calls home and the ocean he grew up dreaming about. Raised on Rush and classic rock by his father, then influenced in his early songwriting by artists like Jack Johnson and John Mayer, and later by folk acts like The Lumineers and Mumford & Sons, Harrison has spent years writing, traveling, and refining a sound that feels intimate, reflective, and quietly powerful.

Steele’s songs often center on connection, legacy, and finding beauty in everyday moments. His recent work, including songs inspired by his grandfather’s life and passing, leans into a deeper sense of meaning: music not just to hear, but to feel.

A seasoned live performer, Harrison has played over a thousand shows across the Midwest and beyond, building a reputation for warm, engaging, and deeply listenable performances. Incorporating elements of a one-man band, he often plays with a kick drum and tambourine simultaneously, bringing a rhythmic energy that gets audiences moving while maintaining an intimate, organic feel.

He has shared stages with artists like Train and Donavon Frankenreiter, and continues to release music independently while expanding his reach as a touring artist.

Currently booking select dates for upcoming regional and national runs.
